What To See & Do
The Pfalzer or Palatine Forest as it is known merges with the Vosges mountains to form Europe’s largest continuous forested area-a total of more than 500,000 hectares.
The region features clearly marked footpaths, mediaeval castles and ruins and everything else you need for rest and relaxation. There are countless cycling routes across fields and valleys, through small wine villages and across the vineyards waiting to be explored and enjoyed.
The region is renowned for festivities and outdoor activities in the nearby Pfalzer forest and the German Wine Road that stretches eighty kilometers to the French border.
We can also pre-arrange for the hire and delivery to Villa Delange of standard and e-bikes for guests. Please contact us for more information about the type, size and cost of bike hire. This is an ideal, safe and relaxing way to explore the nearby villages an wine region.
A picnic basket can also be prepared with fresh bread, regional food and wine from the region to accompany such an excursion.
The Region is renowned for the number and variety of events and festivals, many of which are not surprisingly based around the celebration of wine. We have identified a number of the main annual events for your interest and reference.
